In 2013, French artist Lili Reynaud-Dewar is committed to produce only bedroom pieces: in this spirit, for her Frieze Projects 2013 commission Reynaud-Dewar staged an immersive and performative environment taking the form of a bedroom installation. Reynaud-Dewar’s project examined and is inspired by the works of writers who make their own life the material of their work, such as Guillaume Dustan’s text Dans Ma Chambre (In My Room, 1996), among others.
Lili Reynaud-Dewar (b. 1975, France) lives and works in Grenoble, France and Geneva, Switzerland. Recent exhibitions include: Le Consortium, Dijon (2013); Clearing, New York & Belvedere, Vienna (2013); Konsthall Oslo, Norway (2013); Biennale de Lyon (2013); and Kunstraum, Innsbruck (2013); Belvedere, Vienna (2013); Karma International, Zurich (2012); Bielefeld Kunstverein, Bielefeld (both 2011); Kunsthalle, Basel (2010); Frac Champagne Ardennes, Reims (2010)
